A Productive Summery(?) Day
Author: Amber
Today has been a productive day. I love days like this!
This morning I got 2 loads of laundry done, and cleaned the main floor: dusting, sweeping (3 times total so far LOL ), mopping, vacuuming, walls washed, and mirrors and windows done.
I fed the kids a healthy lunch without messing up the kitchen and took Andrew, Claire and our little friend, A, outside for an hour or so.
I got Claire down early enough that she could have a good nap, and after A left and Jon got home, I ran over to the preschool to talk to Andrew’s teacher, who is really sad that Andrew’s done.
I’m sad too, but I know Andrew is relieved.
I feel really good though, getting all that stuff done, including talking to the teacher, which is a HUGE load off my shoulders. I was pretty nervous about it.
I still hope to get the other 3 levels of the house cleaned tonight, including all clean bedding on the beds. Let’s put the sick behind us!
Secretly (or not so secretly now), I’d like to get the house spotless before tomorrow, when the kids are off school for a PD day and I know that it will be torn apart before 9:00am. It will be nice to relax in a clear, wide open space tonight while watching hours upon hours of Thursday night television with my sweet hubby.
The other awesome thing about today - the temperatures soared to 20*C (that’s 68F for my American buddies). Not too shabby for November. Actually, it’s pretty darn awesome!
I wish this is what winter was for us every year, for all 6 months of it!
